2021.10.24 19:01 sunflowerssunshine_ Christmas gift ideas for someone who doesn't have a lot of extra money
My husband and I have been married for two years and we have a pretty big family put together. We just found out we are pregnant and have lots of stuff that needs done in our home before the baby gets here. We both have decent jobs but I feel like even with normal expenses every month, there is never enough money, and now we are going to have to start buying stuff for our baby too. I am very giving person and I want to be able to make sure we do this holiday season right, especially with everyone being excited about our pregnancy. Idk if this is even a good place to ask this question, but does anyone have any tips/tricks on how to give good gifts without spending a ton of money?

2021.10.24 19:01 2ndAdvertisement Early symptoms? Need help
So I had rash-less shingles last November. And now, about 4 or so days ago I started to feel the weird burning and itching in the very same spot again. Also with mild rash forming this time around. As of today i feel terrible. My chest hurts and burns, my arms hurt, my back hurts, I feel always tired and cold no matter what. Is this shingles re-surfacing or should I be worried about something else? BTW I plan seeing a doctor in most likely 2 days.

2021.10.24 19:01 cozythunder Steaks get cold before I can finish them
Living in a colder climate, a problem I've had is that by the time I get to the end of my steak - it's temperature has dropped to be quite a bit colder than I'd like. It's especially a shame because I like to save the best bit of the ribeye till last, but by it's kind of cold and not as appetising.
The problem isn't with resting the steak (I keep it somewhere warm). But just in the amount of time it takes to eat it, and I'm not a slow eater or anything.
Anyone else in a cold climate figured out a solution?

2021.10.24 19:01 itwas_reallynothing 37 [M4F] Texas - Punk book nerd looking for goth gf to listen to The Cure with forever
Hi! I work from home so I'm available pretty much all the time, also I sleep sort of vampire hours so if you are an early bird we might not match up great. Unless you're like a European or something, which I support because for some reason I tend to get along better with people outside the US? You should probably be aware that if you do choose to message me chances are pretty good I will end up hitting on you, so if that's not something you're interested in we might not be the best fit, which is totally understandable so I just figured I'd get that out of the way first. I like to be honest about what I'm about.
Here's a random list of things I like and hate because I learned from High Fidelity that what you like is as important as what you are like.
Yeah!: books (right now I'm reading Song of Achilles, but in general Vonnegut, sci-fi, books about punk) my dog, other dogs, skateboards, punk/metal/grindcore/lots of other sub genre words that only matter to fucking nerds, David Bowie, Star Trek, comics, games (I'm on a big Hades kick, but also MtG Arena, FIFA, rpgs) card games, cold coffee, Chipotle, small tiddy goth gfs, soccer, d/s, arguing, hoodies, haiku, only wearing black, that story about how one time Ayn Rand cursed a guys dick.
Things I super hate: people that are rude to people who are at work, construction noises, mayo, self-righteousness, Drake.

2021.10.24 19:01 redhotpeppwr Is it it safe for a young woman to live alone in Seattle? Near Seattle?
I am a 22 year old woman, soon-to-be college graduate from California looking to branch out. Living at home with my parents during the pandemic was one of the worst experiences of my life, and truly my lowest low. It’s unhealthy there, really unhealthy. I was being mistreated by a domineering parent and I’m tired of walking on eggshells for a man who had absolutely no respect for my autonomy.
Anyways, I’m in an apartment near my college, but I’ll graduate in about 9 months. I need to have a plan. And NorthWest Washington looks pretty good to me.
Honestly I’m not sure I’ll fit in, and I’m not sure it’ll be safe for me. I’ve never lived alone in such unfamiliar surroundings before and I’m concerned about being assaulted. Despite these concerns, someone I’m very close to lives a ferry ride away from seattle. I’d feel more comfortable moving far away if I was relatively close to my friend. Are there any nearby neighborhoods that are both affordable and safe? Which ones do I avoid? (specifically! street names, landmarks I can identify on a map. Please).
I’ve also been looking into areas such as Sammamish, Bellevue, Oak Harbor, Bainbridge and Mercer island (though I doubt the islands are financially possible on minimum wage).
Please help me! I need resources, research, something to give me direction or peace of mind.
Thanks in advance
